Es gibt keinen Weg zum Glueck - Gluecklich sein ist der WegDer Mensch ist fuer die Freude geboren (Blaise Pascal)
I think we found 'our new way for the perfect vacation' - we did the long planned trip up the coast to San Elijo State Beach (look it up - yes it's 30min (!!) north of San Diego). It's right on the beach, next to Highway #1 and every time we ever drove by that cute camp site in Cardiff I said that at some point I really want to camp there. It's just quite difficult to book a site because there aren't many and they always booked way out, but I managed to get one for Arthur's bday week and we went and rented an RV and spent a week up there. NO TRAFFIC AND NO AIRPORT and pretty much no packing because you can put your stuff right into the RV, and if you forget something you can always quickly drive home and get it. This really was a trip that was just the fun part and nothing of the annoying parts of traveling (at least in my opinion). - PERFECT!!!
It was a super relaxing week, Slate had fun and was so sweet, we walked a lot, read a lot and drank a lot :) Life is good!! And Happy Birthday to the best man in the world!!

The Serenity Prayer- the motto that I live by:
|
| |
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
